U.S. Postal Service Safe Driver Awards were presented to employees of the Lehighton Post Office, issued by the National Safety Council, Award Premium and Incentive Headquarters, St. Paul, Minnesota.

The awards went to Edwin Donner, eight years; Robert Fatzinger, 12 years; Kenneth Fegley, six years; Arnold Fritz, seven years; James Gerber, two years; Richard Hill, 24 years; William Hines, nine years; Karl Hinkle, 20 years, Victor Izzo, six years; Leonard Mikulski, 12 years; Wilbur Niehoff, six years; William Sandeer, 19 years; Samuel Watkins, three years; Harry Wyatt, 20 years; Harry Wynn III, one year; Charles Yenser, 22 years; John Zeman, one year; Allen Ziegler, 25 years; and Robert Zuber, two years.
