Northampton Community College will offer two opportunities for participants to enhance their career skills and explore thriving industries.
The Free Career Pathways to Manufacturing training program will begin this February. In the program, students will receive basic training in manufacturing, blueprint reading, production, automation, teamwork and more.
Plus, students will receive hands-on training in NCC’s Fab Lab, complete their OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification, tour local facilities, and even participate in Career Day with local employers.
The eight-week program will run Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., beginning Feb. 10, 2025, in NCC’s Fowler Family Southside Center. For questions, call 610-332-6317 or e-mail Erin Anderson at eanderson@northampton.edu.
The second opportunity will be virtual instructor-led 10- or 30-hour Construction and General Industry OSHA outreach training classes. NCC’s online classes will feature an interactive learning environment, where participants will interact with industry expert instructors and peers in real-time.
Beginning in January, this training option will be ideal for individuals who prefer not to be off-site or incur travel time and expenses.
Participants who successfully complete a program will obtain a Department of Labor completion card. To learn more, email Heather Ehritz at hehritz@northampton.edu.
