Panther Valley’s Natalie Vermillion also had a big night, setting a school record for three-pointers in a game during a win over Notre Dame East Stroudsburg, while both Lehighton wrestling teams defeated Catasauqua.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Marian-Tri Valley
Marian used a big fourth quarter to knock off previously undefeated Tri-Valley 45-44 in Schuylkill League action.
Bryan Ferreira scored 10 of his 14 points in the final frame as the Colts outscored the host team 17-9 to erase a seven-point deficit.
Jacob De La Cruz led the winners with a game-high 19 points. The Bulldogs received 18 points from Trey Porter.

Ian McKeegan poured in a game-high 22 points to help Weatherly pull off a 61-60 Schuylkill League victory over Lourdes.
McKeegan scored 14 of his points during a big second quarter as the Wreckers, who won their third consecutive game, outscored the host team by a 24-13 margin.
The winners, who also received 13 points from Corbin Wagner and 11 from both Niko Saldukas and John Donish, made 17 free throws to the Red Raiders’ three. McKeegan accounted for 10 of the made foul shots.

Vermillion finished with a game-high 28 points, while Morgan Orsulak finished with a double-double — 11 points and 11 rebounds — for the Panthers.
Olivia Protheroe had 20 points to lead the Spartans.
