The Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation welcomes the public to a holiday open house at Melrose Manor in Lansford.

The public will be invited to tour the manor, the restored rectory of the former St. Michael’s Church and School complex along East Abbott Street, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Chamber members along with local community groups will have a private tour of the 6,500-square-foot brick home, which is now featured as a whole home rental, from 4 to 5 p.m.

Melrose Manor will be decorated for the holidays and hot chocolate, cider and Christmas cookies will be served as part of the open house.

The owners will provide an update on the renovation project, which includes transforming the school into 12 to 15 vacation rentals with one and two-bedroom units and the church into a special events and wedding venue.
