The Bach & Handel Chorale of Jim Thorpe will continue its 40th anniversary Christmas concerts this weekend.
The first concert this weekend will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 158 Fish Hill Road, Tannersville. The second concert will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1249 Trexlertown Road, in Trexlertown.
Tickets will be available at the door for both concerts.
The music for the concerts starts with several Advent selections and works its way into Christmastime.
Music includes arrangements by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Fredrick Handel, along with other arrangements by John Rutter, Ness Beck and more.
The chosen music includes familiar carols and other selections, as well as a sing-along for the public.
In the spring, the Palm Sunday concert will be held on April 13 at 4 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Heights, 319 South Ave., Jim Thorpe, and will feature “Crucifixion” by John Stainer.
The official 40th Anniversary Concert will be held June 7 at 3 p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 526 North St., Jim Thorpe.
