State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 38-year-old Mahanoy City man was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police after a brief chase at 4:21 p.m. on Nov. 30 on Interstate 81 in Foster Township.
Police said he was driving a 2005 Ford they attempted to pull over for a traffic stop, after which time the driver fled.
Following a brief pursuit, the man and a passenger were taken into custody.
• Four snowmobiles and a box trailer were stolen in a theft that was reported to police by their owners, a 60-year-old man from Pittsgrove, New Jersey, and an 81-year-old woman from Tamaqua.
Police said between 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 4, someone stole the items from a property on Reynolds Road, Walker Township.
They said the black Worthington Champ trailer had the words “Think Snow” written on its back and contained four snowmobiles that had stickers of Yamaha, Ski Doo, Arctic Cat and Polaris on them.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 4:10 p.m. on Dec. 8 at a property on Water Street in Blythe Township.
Someone threw eggs at the victim’s front door and porch.
• A suspect was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm after an incident at 5:45 a.m. on Nov. 27 at the intersection of Valley and West Mount Laffee roads in Cass Township.
Police said the suspect had a loaded pistol in the center cup holder of the vehicle he occupied when it was involved in a crash. Involved in the incident were a 2021 GMC Sierra and a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500.
