Bowmanstown residents won’t have to dig deeper into their coffers to pay their municipal taxes next year.

Not after borough council last week adopted the 2025 budget with no millage increase.

That will leave the borough’s millage rate at 13.005 mills.

Last December, council adopted this year’s spending plan with no tax increase.

Solar field

Also at last week’s meeting, it was announced that the zoning hearing East Penn Township for the solar field had a continuance until Dec. 9.

In October, borough council agreed to leave a zoning appeal concerning solar panels in the township on borough property in the hands of council President Pam Leiby.

That came after council on September agreed to submit a zoning application for the solar panel field along Route 895, right after the last house on the left heading west, with the address of 1938 E. Lizard Creek Road.

It was stated at that time the application was in the hands of the East Penn Township zoning officer.
