Lewistown Garden Club

The Lewistown Valley Garden Club held its November meeting at Zion Church Memorial Hall, where all enjoyed the program by making a fresh greenery decoration of choice.

The next meeting will be a Christmas social beginning at noon Dec. 17 in the Zion Church social hall, Lewistown Valley. Games will be played and each member should bring a prize. The arrangement to be judged will be fresh flowers using a religious accessory along with a specimen and winter greens. Members with last names A to H should bring desserts, and I to Z a main course.

In lieu of exchanging gifts, a $10 donation will be collected from each member and given to Primitive Methodist Church Food Pantry in Tamaqua. Members are also reminded that 2025 dues will be collected at this meeting.

The 2025 planning meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 in the social hall. Members should bring “finger food” to share for lunch. New members are always welcome.
