Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Dec. 16-20.

Monday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Beets, Yogurt or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich.

Tuesday: Squash Soup, Chicken Tenders, Green Beans, Applesauce or Salad with Beef.

Wednesday: Spanish Rice with Ground Beef, Peas and Onions, Orange or Harvest Chicken Salad.

Thursday: BBQ Riblet, Baked Beans, Salad, Melon or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich.

Friday: Hawaiian Chicken, Rice, Broccoli, Cookie, Orange or Rachel Sandwich.

The senior center also announced the following events: Center Christmas Party on Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. followed by Po-Keeno at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on Dec. 17 at 10:45 a.m.; Drumming Exercise on Dec. 18 at 11 a.m.; Now You Have It Now You Don’t on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Dec. 20 at 10 a.m.

Cards, pool, games available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Hometown Hero Banners

The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2025.

If you would like to purchase a new banner, applications are available. Deadline to purchase a new banner is Feb. 5, 2025.

Also, if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2022, 2023 and 2024, you have already been contacted and provided with the renewal information. Deadline for renewals is Jan. 24, 2025.
