Comedian Tammy Pescatelli leads the pack of entertainment set for local and regional venues over the next two weeks.

The stand-up comic, whose career took off following a Final Five finish on season two of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2004, will perform at Mauch Chunk Opera House. The latter will also host multiple holiday shows, as will other venues.

Holiday music from the likes of Ricky Skaggs and Sara Evans will fill Penn’s Peak, which will also host a non-holiday show from rock bands Atlanta Rhythm Section and Orleans.

Other regional holiday fare includes John Legend at PPL Center, “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” at Wind Creek Event Center and the annual “Change” musical at Sherman Theater.

• “Irish Christmas in America,” 8 p.m. Dec. 13. Conceived in 2005, the holiday show features music, song, dance and stories of seasonal Irish traditions.

• Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder Christmas, 8 p.m. Dec. 14. Skaggs, born in Cordell, Kentucky, and his backing band will perform Christmas songs in an acoustic style. Skaggs, who released the first of his 30-plus albums in the mid-1970s, scored 11 No. 1s on Billboard’s country singles chart. He has released two Christmas albums to date.

• Atlanta Rhythm Section with Orleans, 8 p.m. Dec. 21. Formed in 1970 in Doraville, Georgia, Atlanta Rhythm Section — featuring, among others, original lead singer Rodney Justo — scored hit singles such as “So in to You” and “Imaginary Lover.“ Orleans, formed in Woodstock, New York, in 1972, scored hit singles such as “Dance With Me” and “Still the One.” The band features, among others, co-founder Lance Hoppen.

• Sara Evans: “21 Days of Christmas,” 8 p.m. Dec. 22. Raised in New Franklin, Missouri, Evans released her debut studio album in 1997. The singer and podcast host’s biggest hits include country-radio No. 1s “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket” and “A Little Bit Stronger.” Evans, with one Christmas album to her credit, released her 11th studio set “Unbroke” in June.

• Slay Belles Burlesque Spectacular, 8 p.m. Dec. 13. The show features Calamity Chang, Kita St. Cyr, Mr. Gorgeous, Ai Nguyen, Gin Minsky, Broadway Brassy and Sizzlin’ Liz.

• Craig Thatcher & Friends Rockin’ Christmas, 8 p.m. Dec. 14. Thatcher, a blues-rock recording artist and band leader, also serves as clinician/ambassador for C.F. Martin & Co. of Nazareth and a guitar instructor. The 19th Rockin’ Christmas will also feature Craig and Pat Kastelnik, Bill Sharrow, Nyke Van Wyk, Billy Wear, Joel Shimer and Regina Sayles.

• Christmas Cabaret, 4 p.m. Dec. 15. The event, a benefit for the Jim Thorpe Area High School theater club, features the group Free Range Folk and theater-club students.

• Rock This Town Orchestra Christmas Spectacular, 8 p.m. Dec. 20. The group, a Brian Setzer/Stray Cats tribute band, performs hits from the 1950s and 1960s, plus Christmas classics. The band takes its name from the same-titled 1981 Stray Cats hit.

• Tammy Pescatelli, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21. Born in Perry, Ohio, the comedian has starred in specials such as “Finding the Funny” and “Way After School Special.” The “Last Comic Standing” finalist, star of We TV’s 2011 reality series “A Stand-Up Mother,” has appeared in films such as 2007’s “Made in Brooklyn” and 2020’s “That’s Amore.” Other credits include Showtime’s “Women of a Certain Age 2” and a 2021 episode of CBS drama “Blue Bloods.”

• Nathan Bellott Quartet, 7 p.m. Dec. 13, Vic’s Jazz Loft. Bellott, a New York City saxophonist and teacher, played with Charli Persip’s Supersound and Hal Galper‘s Youngbloods. The musician released his debut solo album “Way Down East” earlier this year. Bellott’s quartet also features Ben Rice, Alec Safy and Michael Camacho.

• Christmas Jazz Brunch, noon Dec. 22, Café Arielle. The Rudy Petschauer Quartet will play classic and contemporary jazz.

• A John Legend Christmas, 8 p.m. Dec. 19. Born in Springfield, Ohio, the singer-songwriter and actor released his debut studio album in 2004, with his ninth, “Legend,” out in 2022. The pianist, whose hit singles include “Ordinary People” and “All of Me,” will perform songs from his 2018 album “A Legendary Christmas.”

• “Cirque Dreams Holidaze,” 8 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14, 2 p.m. Dec. 14. The show, which debuted in 2007, wraps a Broadway-style production around contemporary circus arts. “Holidaze” features singers, dancers, penguins, toy soldiers and reindeer.

• Don Felder, 8 p.m. Dec. 21. Born in Gainesville, Florida, the singer/guitarist was a member of rock band the Eagles from 1974 to 2001, co-writing the hit “Hotel California.” Felder has released three solo albums; the most recent, 2019’s “American Rock ’N’ Roll,” includes guests such as Slash, Sammy Hagar, Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood.

• “Christmas in the Air,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Jeb K. Rand, a writer, producer and director, created the song-and-dance revue. The show features Rockette-style dancers, plus singers, actors, and appearances by Santa and his pals. Rand spent eight years at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall with the Rockettes-starring Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

• The Wizards of Winter, 4 p.m. Dec. 22. The Lehigh Valley ensemble performs a holiday rock opera based around the group’s music. The Wizards of Winter features former members of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and other rock acts, plus theater veterans.
