Camelback Resort set to open Saturday

Camelback Resort in Monroe County is set to open this weekend to celebrate winter’s arrival.

The resort in Tannersville invites guests to gear up for the groomed slopes and snow tubing lanes for the 2024-25 ski season. The resort will open on Saturday, said Camelback Resort Managing Director David Makarsky.

“With just days to go until our official Opening Day of the 2024-2025 season, we are thrilled to welcome our loyal visitors and first-time guests to enjoy our slopes this winter,” Makarsky said. “From our inclusive Ski & Ride Academy, expansive snow tubing park, to our roomy accommodations and multiple dining offerings, we look forward to being the premier mountain destination for guests seeking an unforgettable winter vacation experience.”

Hours of operation

Ski Lifts:

• 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 21 and after.

Dec. 14 and 15: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The First Tracks start at 7:30 a.m. at BB6 on Dec. 21. Sunbowl at 8 a.m.

Snow Tubing Park:

• Noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Noon to 10 p.m. Friday.

• 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

• 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets and passes

A variety of Day Pass and Season Pass options are available, including exclusive tickets for seniors and military and first responders. Special offers include:

• Peak to Peak Poconos Pass: Gain unlimited skiing and lift access at both Camelback and Blue Mountain Resorts throughout the 2024-25 season with exclusive perks and discounts at both destinations with no blackout dates or restrictions; $999 per pass.

• Unlimited Season Pass: Arrive early, stay late and ski or ride as often as possible throughout the entire winter season with exclusive perks and no blackout dates; $749 per pass.

• Unlimited Locals Season Pass: Calling all locals to enjoy their home mountain every day of the week, all season long. Available to residents of Monroe County; $599 per pass.

Twilight Lift Tickets: Join the post-work and post-school crowd and enjoy the mountain from 3 p.m. for a unique nighttime skiing experience; starting at $55 per ticket.

Lessons

Available for first-time, beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders, lessons from the Ski & Ride Academy are tailored to each guest’s ability level, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their experience. Guests can choose from children’s lessons, family and friends lessons, private lessons and adult clinics. Equipment rentals are also available.

Snow tubing

Named in USA Today’s 10 Best “Places for Snow Tubing,” Camelback Resort features one of the largest snow tubing parks in the country, offering over 40 snow tubing lanes for daytime and nighttime adventure.

The lively nighttime experience returns with music, disco lighting and up to 44 lightning-fast lanes complemented by two magic carpet lifts. Snow tubing sessions are two hours long and start every hour on the hour.
