A dinner to honor Mary Leibensperger and Marrie Llewellyn was held at the Summit Hill American Legion, sponsored by the school’s faculty, school board members and maintenance personnel.

Leibensperger retired in June after teaching for 36 years at the high school while Llewellyn retired the same month after 42 years in the role of district secretary.

Participants in the program included Kenneth Forrest, principal, who asked the invocation; Francis P. Boyle, president of the teachers organization, toastmaster; and Francis S. Gerber, supervising principal of Summit Hill schools, who offered comments and presented gifts to the honorees.

Thomas Cadden, John Watto, Edgar Miller and Mrs. Marvin Ohl served on the event committee.
