Washington Township Supervisors

Washington Township supervisors conducted the following business last week:

• Approved the 2025 budget of $1,817,083.22 with no tax increase, staying at 0.3 mills.

• The board is looking into making improvements to Creek Road, Hickory Road and Spring Valley Road for next year.

• Washington Township donated $1,000 to NOVA for help in purchasing power stair chairs.

• The board approved to start audio recording procedure at all meetings.

• The yearly contract with Sanctuary at Haafsville for stray cats was renewed for $175.

• The CDL Drug and Alcohol testing policy for employees was put in place.

• Deputy Matt Stevens, of Emergency Management, attended Quarterly County In-Service on Nov. 7 on damage reporting. The next in-service is Feb. 26, 2025 on county animal rescue team at LCCC. Stevens received his associate certificate through Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. He will now move on to the municipal professional certificate.
