Slatington holds tree lighting

The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, a partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, held their annual Slatington Tree Lighting on Friday at the Veterans Memorial Park in Slatington.

The event featured a holiday performance from Northern Lehigh School District Choir and Band, along with Rhythm and Sole Dance Studio. The Elf on the Shelf from A Storybook Party entertainment made an appearance for pictures with the kids, and Santa made his appearance about 6:30 p.m.

The Northern Lehigh Food Bank collected food for the food bank.

Elyse Cuttic, organizer of the event, thanked Slatington Borough Public Works for having the tree and the park ready for the event, Keystone Technology LLC, A.F. Boyer, Neffs National Bank, Bob and Nancy Treskot, Krysta Hankee, Memorial Fund, Harding Funeral Home, Slatington Fire Department, Slatington Police Department, NOVA, Santa, and borough council members who attended.
