Eighty-six members of the World War II Last Man’s Club of the Lehighton American Legion attended the 18th annual memorial dinner program held at the post home.

John Nansteel of Philadelphia recited the toast for the deceased members of the post’s club while Oliver Nansteel recited the toast to the living and James Pennel pronounced the invocation.

Rodney C. Grimm, supervisor of music for the Lehighton Area Union School District, was the main speaker.

Lifetime officers of the club are Jack Anthony, president; Arthur Eebb, first vice president; Edward Knappenberger, second vice president; and George LaRose, secretary/treasurer.
