Six people graduated from the Carbon County Drug Treatment Court program on Wednesday night.
The guest speaker for the evening was Kerri Jahelka, owner of Dedicated Fitness in Palmerton, who “challenged the group to silence the voices saying ‘I can’t’ by replacing it with ‘I can’ and then building on that positivity each day.”
“Conquering little goals each day will build on bigger goals,” Jahelka said. “Those accomplishments will change the world.”
The Rev. Christopher Zelonis of Saint Peter and Paul Church offered a prayer.
Erin Fisher and Daniel Horn received the Matthew Reabold Scholarship Award.
A newly formed Carbon County Treatment and Recovery Foundation was formed, with Rick Parsons serving as president.
