Randy Engle, a teacher at the Penn Kidder Campus of the Jim Thorpe Area School District, was hired by the school board to also serve in the position of dean of students at the K-8 school in Albrightsville.

In addition to his existing salary, Engle, who has been with the district for about 15 years, will received a $5,000 stipend for the position, according to Superintendent Keith “Jake” Boyer.

In other business, the board reorganized, retaining Peter McGuire as president and Charles McHugh as vice president.
