December 6, 2014 — The Northwestern girls use a big third quarter to offset a deficit and take control of its game with Pleasant Valley, eventually earning a 49-43 victory. Trailing by four points at the break, the Tigers open the second half by forcing 11 turnovers and going on a 14-0 run. A three-pointer from Sabrina Mertz starts the run, while Sarah Segan’s fast break layup ends it. The Bears get within four points late in the contest but a Mikaela Keenig layup seals the win. Segan finishes with 17 points to pace Northwestern, coached by Chris Deutsch. PV receives 17 points and 12 rebounds from Renee Milos.
