Men charged with endangering the welfare of a minor with THC

State police at Fern Ridge had charged two men in a THC incident.

James Moore, 63, and John Moore, 54, both of Effort, are facing charges after police were called to a case of endangering the welfare of a minor that took place on Cress Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were called to the St. Luke’s Hospital for a report of a 16-year-old girl from Kunkletown being treated in its emergency room after having been forced to consume THC edibles between 11 p.m. Oct. 13 and 2 a.m. Oct. 14.

They said their investigation resulted in them identifying and seizing multiple marijuana plants being grown at the residence. A Troop N Vice/Narcotics Unit was requested to assist troopers, and a search warrant was obtained for the property.

Police said the Moores were arrested for corruption of minors, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
