Elsewhere, the Palmerton boys wrestling team and Panther Valley girls wrestling squads also picked up wins.

Palmeton opened Colonial League action with a 46-22 victory over visiting Palisades.

Dillon Anthony (160) and Braden Strohl (189) each recorded pins for the Bombers. Derek King added a tech fall at 152 pounds.

Lauren Ligenza scored a game-high 23 points and Millie Black chipped in with 12 to pace Tamaqua to a 57-34 non-league victory over Catasauqua.

Ligenza pulled down eight rebounds, while Kolbe Robb tallied nine points and swiped nine steals to keep the Blue Raiders undefeated to start the season.

Hailey Jenkins led Catasauqua with 19 points.
