Lower Towamensing Township plans to hold the line on the municipal tax rate in 2025.
Supervisors on a 2-0 vote Tuesday adopted next year’s budget with no increase in the tax rate.
Supervisor Jay Mullikin was absent.
No other discussion was held on the matter.
The millage rate will remain at 2.5 mills.
The largest expense for the township this year was road repairs and other public works needs, as well as employee costs for salaries and benefits.
In 2022, supervisors passed a 0.9-mill tax increase to raise money for employee benefits and equipment purchases.
