The Summit Hill Shade Tree Commission completed its Fall planting activities, which focused on White Street, along with replacing and adding more trees to Ludlow and Pine streets.

Chairman Dr. Louis Vermillion said the costs of the trees was financed through donations received from civic groups and borough funding.

He praised water authority workers and volunteers Charles Vasiliou and Thomas Vermillion for preparing the holes for planting, along with David Hiles, who offered the use of his payloader for the project.

Volunteers who assisted in the planting included Dr. Vermillion, Joe Perilli, Brian Newton, Tom Phillips, Ken Forest and John Kupec.
