State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 40-year-old man from Jim Thorpe is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 10:23 p.m. Nov. 30.
He was stopped in a 2002 Buick for Title 75 violations on Mauch Chunk Street in Mahoning Township.
• A 25-year-old man from Allentown is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 8:07 p.m. Nov. 30.
He was stopped in a 2009 Nissan Rogue for Title 75 violations on Route 248 in Bowmanstown.
• A 54-year-old man from Kunkletown is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 8:22 p.m. Nov. 29.
He was stopped in a 1996 Honda Accord for Title 75 violations on Lehigh Drive in Palmerton.
• A 53-year-old Slatedale man was taken into custody on drug possession charges after an incident at 3:24 a.m. Nov. 29 on Main Street in Parryville.
Police said they were called there for a disorderly man calling for help.
• A 54-year-old woman from Palmerton is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop at 1:08 a.m. Nov. 28.
She was stopped in a 2008 Ford Explorer for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at the intersection of Stoney Ridge Road and Windy Acres Lane in Lower Towamensing Township.
• Police were called to a death reported on Franklin Avenue, Ross Township.
It was determined a 75-year-old Saylorsburg man died of natural causes between 11 p.m. Nov. 24 and 4:20 a.m. Nov. 25.
