The Carbon County Republican Party reorganized its executive offices after a series of resignations left several vacancies on the board.
The current vice chairman, Joseph Steber of Nesquehoning, was elevated to the position of party chairman, while Doyle Heffley of Palmerton was named to fill the vacancy created by Steber’s promotion.
Other officers named are Pam Stump of Weatherly, treasurer, and Josie Hess of Jim Thorpe, secretary.
The areas of Jim Thorpe and Lehighton also filled vacancies for area chairmen by electing Michael Sofranko and Ray Haydt, respectively, to this positions.
