Fire companies from Carbon and Schuylkill counties responded to a working dwelling fire Sunday night in Mahoning Township. The blaze was reported shortly after 9 p.m. at 231 Keiser Lane off Laurel Drive. When firefighters arrived on scene they found a structure fully involved in flames.

Firemen were hampered by freezing temperatures and a narrow access to the scene.

Due to the remote location of the scene water had to be tanked into the site.
