Turnpike crashes
State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes took place on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Gabriel Padilla Robles, 31, of Allentown, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at mile marker 97.1 in Kidder Township.
Police said he was driving a 2023 Volvo southbound when it slid off the roadway and struck a guide rail before becoming disabled.
• Police said a 2018 Toyota RAV-4 driven by Jahniah Y. Laborde, 20, of Dunmore, was damaged when it was struck by a fleeing vehicle at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 22 at mile marker 76.9 in Franklin Township.
She was northbound when the fleeing vehicle merged into the left lane, hit the Toyota’s right side and failed to stop, continuing northbound.
• Tajir C. Singleton, 48, of Macungie, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at mile marker 97.9 in Kidder Township.
Police said he was driving a 2017 GMC Acadia northbound when it lost traction and hit the center divider, crossing both lanes and then striking a guide rail.
• Vincent M. Brantley, 36, of Newark, Delaware, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:09 a.m. Nov. 22 at mile marker 92.1 in Kidder Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Brantley was driving a 2018 Volvo northbound when he lost control of it on the snow-covered roadway, police said.
The rig hit the concrete center median, traveled across both lanes and struck a guide rail. It then traveled back across both lanes and hit the divider a second time, causing the rig to jackknife.
Police said Brantley was cited after the crash.
• Brittany M. Cosgrove, 30, of Albrightsville, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:45 p.m. Nov. 19 at mile marker 82.2 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said she was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Carbon Campus, Mahoning Township.
Cosgrove was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse northbound when she was unable to avoid hitting a deer in the left lane, police said.
The vehicle had disabling damage.
• David L. Watkins, 43, of Pittston, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:19 p.m. Nov. 14 at mile marker 95.3 in Kidder Township.
Watkins was driving a 2017 Toyota Corolla northbound when is hit a deer in the roadway, police said.
The car had disabling damage.
