State police at Frackville
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 17-year-old boy from New Philadelphia is the victim of a harassment by physical contact incident that police were called to at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 19 on Wiggan Street in New Philadelphia.
Police said someone pushed the boy off his bicycle and he fell to the ground. They said the boy and the assailant engaged in a fight before the boy was able to get back on his bicycle and flee. The assailant ran off.
• Christopher Owens, 44, of Barnesville, was cited for defiant trespass after police were called to a property on School Street in Ryan Township at 3 p.m. Nov. 19.
Police said a 67-year-old man from Hatfield reported Owens was observed walking on his property, which is posted against trespassing. They said Owens had been warned numerous times in the past to stay off the property.
• A 58-year-old Barnesville man was charged with resisting arrest after an incident that took place at 8:32 a.m. Nov. 17 on the Brockton Mountain Drive, Ryan Township.
Police said they went there to serve a mental health warrant and the man resisted arrest. They said officers had to use force to detain the man.
• Police were called to investigate a burglary at 9:04 a.m. Nov. 9 at a property on Ridge Road, East Brunswick Township, resulting in the arrest of a 39-year-old man from New Ringgold.
A 29-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman, both from New Ringgold, told police the suspect gained access to a unit on their property and stole a DeWalt miter saw valued at $600, a Bostitch nailer worth $200 and a Bostitch trim nail worth $200.
• Police said 800 feet of 6-gauge copper wire valued at $3,200 was stolen from Arc Electric Construction on Logistics Drive, Mahanoy City.
Police said someone stole the wire from light posts that were under construction between Sept. 24 and 1:13 Nov. 9.
• A 24-year-old woman from Hazleton and a 69-year-old man from Pottsville were cited for harassment by physical contact after an incident that took place at 2:31 p.m. Nov. 21 on Cumberland Avenue, Rush Township (Hometown).
Police said they two were involved in a dispute over a recently purchased vehicle. They scratched each other and one of the two people’s glasses were broken. They are valued at $442.50.
• Chad Belsak, 48, of New Ringgold, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic incident at 8:51 a.m. Nov. 18 at North Railroad and Hughes Street in New Ringgold.
Police said a 43-year-old woman from New Ringgold was subjected to unwanted physical contact.
They said Belsak fled before their arrival.
• Police said they were called to a suspicious person report at 6:05 a.m. Nov. 18 on Haddock Road, Kline Township.
Police said they discovered an unknown man was observed on video surveillance attempting to gain access to a 2019 Honda and a 2020 Lexus. They said he ran off, traveling south on Bruno Avenue.
• Police are investigating a report of a suspected sexual assault on a 3-year-old girl.
Police said it was reported to have occurred at a property on Eleanor Avenue, West Mahanoy Township, between 2022 and 9:09 p.m. Nov. 18.
• Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle case they were called to at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 16.
The incident occurred on Mountain Top Terrace, Kline Township. A 35-year-old man from McAdoo told police a folding pocket knife worth $200 and a Glock sight and light valued at $499 were stolen from his vehicle.
