Carbon County Planning Commission

The Carbon County Planning Commission made recommendations on the following plans during its monthly meeting last week.

Recommendations are then sent to the plans’ municipality officials for inclusion in the approval process.

• Phillip Harding received conditional plan approval for a proposed lot improvement at the intersection of Chipmunk Trail and Taratina Drive, Pocono Mountain Lake, Kidder Township. The plans call for combining two lots into one 0.650-acre lot.

• Kathy and Allan Hollrigl, Sandra Kemmerer, Sharon Mrozinski and Raymond and Shawn Fisher submitted plans, but no recommendation was made on a proposed subdivision/land development plan at the intersection of Spring Hill Road and State Route 940 in East Side Borough. The plans call for subdividing a 31.56-acre lot into five lots and combining the new lots with four additional lots. The planning commission said that the plans preclude any recommendation and comments would be submitted to the borough planning commission, council, applicant and engineer.

• Melissa M. Levan received conditional plan approval for a proposed lot line revision at the intersection of Broad Mountain View Drive and Satin Way, Marty Axman in the Poconos, Penn Forest Township. The plans call for combining two lots into a 1.0039-acre lot.

• Melvin and Susie Stoltzfus and Timothy M. Lorah received conditional plan approval for a proposed subdivision/lot line revision at 1885 Lower Smith Gap Road, Lower Towamensing Township. The plans call for subdividing a 16.1025-acre lot off the Stoltzfus’ land and combining that new lot with land owned by Lorah to create a 20.8154-acre lot.

• Timothy James and Dorethea Rae Lechner received conditional plan approval for a proposed lot consolidation at 20 Spencer Lane, Towamensing Trails, Section 2, Penn Forest Township. The plan calls for combining two lots.
