Nesquehoning Borough Council conducted the following business during its monthly meeting last week.
• Awarded a contract for the Lake Hauto Lift Station generator project to Minichi Inc., who submitted the low bid of $120,100. It was noted that the bid came in lower than estimated.
• Announced that applications for a full-time police officer are still being accepted through 4 p.m. Dec. 31.
• Approved two motions to OK two new addresses in the borough: 4 Laurel Terrace and 35 Hemlock Drive.
• Councilman Bruce Nalesnik announced that work on the front end loader that needed repairs has been completed and the truck has been returned to the borough.
• Approved the cleaning of the furnaces for the recreation center and borough building.
