Rep. Zach Mako, R-Lehigh/Northampton, announced a $300,000 Community Conservation Partnerships Program grant has been awarded to North Whitehall Township for one of its parks.

The funding from the program comes from a variety of sources, including the Keystone and Environmental Stewardship funds, ATV and snowmobile restricted accounts, and the federal Pennsylvania Recreational Trails funds.

The grant will be used to rehabilitate Neffs Valley Park, with renovation of an access drive, construction of a parking area and pedestrian walkways, installation of a pedestrian bridge and stormwater management measures.
