State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at 11:14 a.m. Oct. 16.

It occurred at a home at Neola Road and Route 715 in Jackson Township.

Dominic Signorile, 62, of Lighthouse Point, Florida, told police someone entered the residence by unknown means and stole a box of miscellaneous tools from the kitchen area of the home.

• Police said a 100-gallon propane tank was stolen from a property on Alpha Drive, in Jackson Township.

It was reported stolen between January 2023 and Oct. 25 of this year by Heller’s Gas, Effort.

The tank is valued at $400, police said.

• Police were called to a theft by deception/identity theft incident at 4:38 p.m. Oct. 15.

Lillian Coffman, 18, of 11 Dryden Drive, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, told police an unknown person obtained personal information from her via a fictitious text message.

Police said because there are no leads in the case, the investigation has been closed.
