State police at Stroudsburg - crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Justin Mendez-Vinces, 18, of West Easton, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:03 p.m. Nov. 15 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Toyota Camry southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car. It crossed over the right lane of travel and struck a guide rail.

The car had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Police said Mendez-Vinces was cited after the crash.

• Ryan O. Washington, 35, of Charlottesville, Virginia, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:49 p.m. Nov. 5 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was transported by emergency services personnel to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.

Washington was driving a 2017 Nissan Maxima when he lost control of it, police said.

The car struck an embankment, rolled once and came to rest in the right lane.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Washington was cited after the crash.

• Police said Regina M. Davison, 54, of Bethlehem, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:48 p.m. Oct. 27 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

She was a passenger in a car driven by Irene M. Davison, 29, also of Bethlehem, who was uninjured, as were two children who were also passengers.

Police said the crash occurred when the 2018 Honda CR-V was southbound and struck a deer that entered its path. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, police said.

• Raul Valdez Soto, 23, of Beaver Meadows, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:55 a.m. Oct. 25 on Interstate 80 in Pocono Township.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Subaru Outback that traveled off the left side of the road and struck a guide rail. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

• Darvel L. Young Sr., 64, of Union, New Jersey, was uninjured when the vehicle he was driving struck a bear at 4:27 a.m. Nov. 8 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was southbound near Beaver Valley Road when the bear ran in front of his 2022 Ford Explorer and was struck.

The Explorer sustained disabling damage, police said.

• Michael T. Walsh Jr., 24, of Effort, was cited for driving while his license is expired or unregistered after a one-vehicle crash at 11:28 p.m. Nov. 7 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

He was uninjured in the crash.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Hyundai Sonata northbound when it struck a deer that had entered its path.

The car had disabling damage, police said.
