Jim Thorpe Area School District’s board of directors unanimously approved numerous personnel items during its meeting Wednesday night.

Resignations and retirements

• James Bumbulsky: announced an intent to retire from his L.B. Morris teaching position effective Jan. 17.

• Tanya Rivera: resigned as a Penn Kidder Campus K-8 art teacher.

• Louann Dietz: resigned as high school English teacher.

• Maria Burzynski: resigned as a Penn Kidder Campus paraprofessional effective Dec. 6.

• Lisa Gutowski: resigned as a Penn Kidder Campus paraprofessional.

Appointments and transfers

• Devin Rogers: retroactively approved as a long-term substitute kindergarten teacher at a salary of $50,920.

• Nicole Reinhart: approved as an L.B. Morris learning support teacher (Master’s Step 5, $57,430), start date to be determined.

• Heather Niadna: transferred from high school learning support to high school English, with start date to be determined.

• Paige Pfeifer: approved as a high school learning support teacher (Bachelor’s Step 1, $50,930).

• Patricia Flowers: retroactively approved as a paraprofessional at $14/hour.

• Tiffany Gallo: approved as a paraprofessional at $14/hour.

• Rylee Rockwell: approved as a paraprofessional at $14/hour starting Dec. 3.

• Morgan Johnson: retroactively approved as a part-time paraprofessional at $14/hour for up to three days per week.

• The board approved posting and hiring for K-12 art and elementary teaching positions.
