November 20, 2009 — The Bob Mitchell era at Northwestern comes to an end as the Tigers fall to Bethlehem Catholic 13-0 in the Eastern Conference Class 3A championship game. Despite the loss, Northwestern fans celebrate the career of their head football coach that spans 28 seasons. Under Mitchell, the program enjoys 17 winning seasons, three district titles (1995, 1997, 2002) and four years of double-digit wins. He ends his coaching career with 308 games and a record of 177-130-1.
