Lehighton youth football team has stellar season

The Lehighton booster club football B team enjoyed a successful season, advancing to the Tri-County Youth Football League championship game. The Indians opened the playoffs with a 20-8 win over Mount Carmel, and followed that with a 26-8 victory over Mahanoy. In the finals, Lehighton suffered a 36-26 setback against Ashland, though the loss did not diminish the team’s accomplishments throughout the season, which also included a victory for the 209 trophy. Members of this year’s team include, Jayce Johnson-Morales, Tyson Perkins, Nolan Kotch, Camden Moyer, Jace Brown-Melendez, Jack Scarpati, Maxsim Jones, Grayson Shupp, Brantley Brungard, Levi Moreira, Jack Ondusko, Khace Heckman, Jayce Isomoyer, Elliot Mehmeti, Preston Conrad, Jasper Benson, Rowan Weinrich, Carter Smith, Xander Mertz, Chris Sterner, Tony Symington, Antuan Dixon, Jaxten Oswald, Elijah Corby; Coaches Mike Moyer, Bert Baumgardner, Jerome Scarpati, Jesse Jones, Dan Oswald, Jason Shupp and Dylan Smith.
