Specialties: Dr. Johnson focuses on general pediatrics. Her specialties include developmental, behavioral and emotional concerns, including delays in development, ADHD, anxiety and depression. She also treats general conditions such as chronic headaches, constipation and acute illnesses like viral conditions and ear infections.

Why she entered medicine: Great medicine doesn’t just save lives. It can serve as an inspiration, as it did for Dr. Johnson.

In high school she was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. But doctors and a lifesaving bone marrow transplant saved her life and compelled her to help other children.

“I admired my doctors for their compassion, knowledge and honesty. I chose to become a pediatrician to give back to the medical community for all they did to save my life,” Dr. Johnson said.

Today, as the first physician in her family, she offers the same kind of care that saved and changed her life.

“I want to help children as I was helped,” she said.

It’s an honor to serve her community this way, Dr. Johnson said.
