State police at Fern Ridge
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police received a walk-in complaint at 1:42 p.m. Oct. 22 at their barracks regarding a bad check.
They said a 25-year-old woman from Middletown told them she purchased a new car and traded in her old car at the Car Mart Auto Center, 110 Marshall Lane, Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, and received a check for the car she traded in. She told officers the check was returned due to insufficient funds.
• Jessica Goward, 42, of Kunkletown, is facing drug possession charges after police were called to Willow Lane, Chestnuthill Township, at 1:40 p.m. Nov. 6.
They said the investigation revealed Goward was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
• Police said they were called to the Pleasant Valley School, 2628 Route 115, Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, for a terroristic threats incident.
The response followed receipt of a Safe2Say report at 3:01 a.m. Nov. 6.
• A case of endangering the welfare of a child is under investigation.
Police said they received a ChildLine report regarding an 8-year-old boy from Blakeslee at a property on Allegheny Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 6:49 p.m. Nov. 11.
• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident a 1:01 p.m. Oct. 24 at 271 Route 715, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said their investigation determined three juveniles damages the freshly poured cement sidewalk at the township’s new emergency center.
• Police are investigating a theft by deception incident in which a 48-year-old woman from Stroudsburg is the victim.
They were called at 3:53 p.m. Nov. 7 to a property on Appenzell Terrace, Jackson Township, where a 48-year-old woman from Stroudsburg said she was locked out of her Facebook account.
An unknown person who offered to help her unlock the account eventually received the woman’s personal information, police said.
