Mahoning Township residents aren’t likely to see an increase in their municipal tax rates in 2025.
Township supervisors on a 4-0 vote Wednesday agreed to advertise next year’s budget with no tax increase.
“We didn’t raise taxes again,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Robert Slaw.
That would leave the millage rate at 7.75 mills.
Last year, residents saw a 1-mill increase that raised the millage rate from 6.75 to 7.75 mills.
Township secretary Natalie Haggerty said in December 2022 that the hiring of a new full-time road department worker, coupled with moving a part-time clerk to full-time clerk were contributing factors that resulted in that increase.
