Trinity Happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton begins at 9:30 a.m. Synodically Approved Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship begins at 10:30 a.m. in Luther Hall.

A free movie night will take place Saturday in Luther Hall. The movie, Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” starring Jim Carrey, will be shown at 7 p.m. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase to benefit projects of Trinity’s Youth Group. All are welcome. Please use the Iron Street entrance.
The Annual Congregational Meeting begins at 11:45 a.m. Sunday. The purpose of this meeting to elect new council members and update projects under consideration at Trinity and approve the 2025 budget.
There will be no Sunday Church School and confirmation classes on Nov. 17. Confirmands are required to attend the meeting with a parent or guardian. Classes resume Nov. 24.
The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents, who reside in the Lehighton Area School District, are eligible.
The Trinity Thrift Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. Donations will not be accepted until January as staff prepares for the annual Christmas sale.
Trinity Thrift Store Christmas Sale in Luther Hall is Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cash only. Please use the Iron Street entrance.
There will be Nativity displays to view in Luther Hall Dec. 7, from 3 to 6 p.m., and Dec. 8, 8:30 a.m. to noon. No cost to attend. All are welcome.
Jack & Jill Preschool, a ministry of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, is offering a new program for the PreK (4-5 year old) class. Parents/caregivers have the option of the traditional preschool day of 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; or they can choose the extended program which runs from 9-1 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. This longer day allows for further experiences in gross and fine motor skills, creative play, and social interaction. Some openings still remain in the PreK and the Primary (3-year-old) class. Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton holds weekly worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Sunday School for children and youth every Sunday at 11 a.m., except the first Sunday of the month.

Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, will host Sunday Morning Worship at 10:45 a.m.

St. John’s
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton will hold worship service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
Sunday school: 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24.
Congregational meeting: Nov. 17 following the worship service in Fellowship Hall. The meeting business includes the 2025, election of council members and voting on a proposed updated constitution.
Grief support: 6 p.m. Nov. 18.
Dinkey Memorial Church has a food cupboard available to those in need who are members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s, or residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room. For more information, speak with Pastor Tony.

Dinkey Memorial Church in Ashfield will hold Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. on Nov. 24.
Ben Salem UCC
Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton will hold Sunday Worship at 8 a.m. with a Praise Band and at 10:15 a.m. for a traditional service that is also livestreamed on the church website. Communion service will be the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday school is held at 9 a.m. and is open to anyone from nursery through youth.
