Saylorsburg man faces drug, gun charges

A 46-year-old Saylorsburg man has been indicted by a federal grand jury with drug trafficking and firearms charges, and he could face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.

The case against Robert Stull, being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, involves incidents that took place on Sept. 12 in Saylorsburg.

According to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam, the indictment alleges Stull possessed with the intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine, over 500 grams of cocaine and a quantity of marijuana on that date.

It also asserts that on the same day, he possessed multiple firearms in furtherance of his drug trafficking offenses, and that he possessed one firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Assistant U.S. Attorney James Buchanan is prosecuting the case as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.

On May 26, 2021, the department launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities; supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place; setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities; and measuring the results.
