Police charge man with invalid registration, inspection on turnpike

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incident on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

Steven Johnson of Williamsport was cited after police made a traffic stop at 8:43 a.m. Nov. 6 at mile marker 68.1 in Washington Township.

Police said he was driving a 2004 Honda Accord they stopped for having an expired registration and then discovered the annual inspection and emission stickers on the vehicle were expired and fraudulent.

Police said victims of the incident are Bender’s Auto Service and Repair, Altoona, and A&M Service Center, Northampton.
