Four area volleyball players were recently named to the District 11 Class 3A all-star team.

Two of the players — Lehighton’s Lyla Kershner and Panther Valley’s Morgan Orsulak — were both selected to the First Team.

Jim Thorpe’s Brianna Snisky made the Second Team, while Olympian teammate Brooke Mitzen was an Honorable Mention choice.

Kershner was a senior libero for the Indians, while Orsulak — a junior — was a setter and outside hitter for the Panthers.

Snisky and Mitzen were both seniors for Thorpe, with Snisky a middle blocker and Mitzen an outside hitter.
