Lopez reaches the end zone on short runs of one and two yards in the first half as the Tigers, coached by Tom Raymer, grab an early lead. A fumble recovery by Ted Simchak sets up the first tally, while a pair of passes from Lopez to Stevie Bitsko keys the second scoring drive. After another fumble recovery, this one by Ted Lithgow, Lopez connects with Bill Firman on a 29-yard TD toss. The pair hook up again for a 24-yard score to up the advantage. The winners tack on a short TD run by Joe Kerak and a 35-yard pick-six by Joe Trechak.
