Weatherly Borough is asking residents to begin to conserve water, as the continued dry spell is starting to affect the wells that supply water.

The area is under a drought watch, which does not mean rationing is in effect, but conservation by not wasting water is advised. The borough asks that residents use water for essential use only.

Residents are also reminded that Carbon County has issued a burn ban, and there should be no outdoor burning at all.
