The Tamaqua street sweeper is still running.

Jay Stidham, the borough’s director of public works, said he hasn’t set a final day for the sweeper.

“As long as the weather stays nice, the street sweeper will keep running,” Stidham said.

He noted that it will keep its normal routes on Thursdays and Fridays.

“It will also be randomly out picking up leaves and doing other streets,” Stidham said.

Streets will be posted the day before sweeping is scheduled. Drivers are reminded that they must move their vehicles from the posted areas. Vehicles that remain on the posted streets will be ticketed.
