Palmerton Cat Project hosts holiday craft, vendor fair

The Palmerton Cat Project will hold a holiday craft and vendor event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Aquashicola Fire Company.

The event will include a basket raffle, bake sale, soup sale. The kitchen will be open.

There will be a basket raffle with 50-plus items, a bake sale, soup sale, chili, broccoli cheddar, chicken noodle, beef vegetable, New England clam chowder, taco soup and beef barley all for purchase.

In addition, there will be 18 crafters/vendors including Sleepy Cat Urban Winery, who will be selling merchandise, including their new item “Palmerton Cat Project” sweatshirts, a 50/50 drawing.

Guests are encouraged to bring an item off their wish list such as Purina Kitten Purina Cat Chow, canned cat food, laundry detergent, garbage bags, paper towels, small litter boxes, receiving blankets, pee pads, and be entered in a chance on lottery baskets.

Stacy Goldberg, vice president, Palmerton Cat Project, said, “This event is to raise money to help with the cost of medical care, food, litter, and spay and neutering cats and kittens in the Palmerton (Area) School District.

Goldberg said everyone at Palmerton Cat Project would like to thank all of its crafters/vendors, bakers, and volunteers for making the event possible.
