State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 38-year-old Kunkletown man was cited for assault with bodily injury after police were called to an incident at 1:31 p.m. Oct. 22 at a property on Sterner Run Road, Polk Township.

Police said a 43-year-old woman from Kunkletown told them he assaulted her following a verbal dispute in their residence.

• Police said a Kunkletown man was cited for a dog law violation after an incident at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 21 at Interchange Road and Whitey B Drive, Polk Township.

The victim is another Kunkletown resident.

• Matthew Page, 30, of Lehighton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 1:12 a.m. Oct. 20 at 1272 Dinkey Road, East Penn Township.

Police said Page failed to yield to them after an attempt to stop him in a 2015 Ford F150 pickup truck for multiple Title 75 violations and was taken into custody after a short chase. He is also facing charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police.

• A 29-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of assault with bodily injury after police were called to a residence on Hemlock Street, Lower Towamensing Township, at 4:13 p.m. Oct. 15.

A 59-year-old Palmerton woman said the man assaulted her by smashing her head into a wall, police said.
