John J. Hill, 363 W. Patterson St., Lansford, was named minority inspector of the West Ward of the Borough of Lansford in an appointment made by Judge Albert H. Heimbach of the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas.

He will assume the position held by Joseph P. Kralick prior to his unexpected passing.

Other appointments made by the judge included Theresa Grosso and Barbara Burkett, both of Lehighton R.2, to the board of elections in the Third Ward of Summit Hill Borough. They will succeed Betty Robertshaw and Merrill H. Velitsky, both who resigned the positions, and Anna Diganich, who was named judge of elections in Nesquehoning’s Second Ward, succeeding Joseph Grieff.
