Firefighters from several Carbon communities were on the scene Tuesday of brush fire that broke out in a wooded area near Crystal Spring tree farm in Mahoning Township.

The owners said no one was burning on site. The fire was ignited by itself because of the extremely dry conditions.

Companies on site with Mahoning Township include Franklin Township, Lehighton, Parryville and Bowmanstown.
