Carbon adopts resolution for veterans
Carbon County is honoring veterans over the next week, leading up to the annual county Veterans Day parade.
The commissioners adopted a resolution naming Nov. 4-11 as Green Light for Veterans in honor of the men and women who served this country.
“The residents of Carbon County have great respect, admiration and the utmost gratitude for all the men and women who have selflessly served our country and this community in the Armed Forces,” the resolution states.
It urges residents to participate in “Operation Green Light” and place a green light in a window of their home or business.
In honor of the area’s veterans, Christine LeClair, director of the Veterans Affairs office, also announced several events that will be taking place next week.
